My wedding photography style is adaptive, combining elements of photojournalism, documentary, editorial and contemporary portraiture. Why can’t I pick just one? Well, in order to capture the most important moments of your big day, I absolutely have to be excellent at several styles of wedding photography.

For example, the most flattering approach for the bride’s getting-ready time is a mix of photojournalism and editorial, but documentary photography is totally appropriate for the ceremony. And I’m sure that your elders will kill you if we don’t get some traditional, posed family photos!

That’s why I firmly believe that a great wedding photographer has to be a ‘photography ninja’! But if you definitely need a label, I’d say that my style encompasses all the best of photojournalism with a nod to traditional wedding photography. But since I’m better in expressing myself visually, I think my portfolio describes the style of my work the best!

Writing this VERY delayed, but came back a year after our experience just to write about how great this was, and how wonderfully Dimitris both toured us around Santorini and captured some incredible photos! We honestly bought all of the photos (300 or so from a few locations on the island and a wardrobe change after a vow renewal) because of how gorgeous they all are! Plus they helped arrange for hair and makeup for me at our hotel, and absolutely everyone involved was a pleasure to meet and so fun to spend that time with (especially since those things can be a little awkward, but it was not with them)! A really fun way to spend a day/half a day while having the beautiful memories captured! Just be prepped that it's hot and bright :).

A super sunrise spent with Dimitris in Athens, learning the principles and practical methodology of HDR photography for landscape. Dimitris took great trouble to explain the optimal camera set up and the perfect image composition. A fantastic and highly recommendable experience.

We spent the full day with Demitris. As Athens is his home town, he knows exactly where to go and when. We started at the Acropolis early to avoid the crowds and get the morning light. It was perfect. The great Ansel Adams famously said, "A good photograph is knowing where to stand". As Demitris is a professional photographer with a lifetime in Athens, he can help guide you on where to stand to take some wonderful photos. We shared a taste lunch together at one of his favorite spots. Spending the day with Dimitris was wonderful and unforgettable. We will be writing about this experience for travelisbeautiful. You can not go wrong with Athens Photo Tours. It was a fantastic experience.

Dimitris was an amazing photographer and guide!!! We did a 2 hour photography tour and got our picture taken with the most amazing backgrounds. Not only did he know some beautiful spots for pictures, but he also provided us with some great historical info that we didn't know. It was a honeymoon shoot for us and the pictures came out more than amazing! I would recommend Dimitris to anyone looking for some beautiful pictures in Athens. He is very professional and made us feel comfortable during the shoot. He also had some great recommendations on what to do/see/eat while in Athens. I wish I could go back and experience this over again. This is definitely worth doing - it's a very surreal experience. He also had a videographer with him for our shoot and we got a short clip of our photo session - it was so much more than we could have asked for!!! If we ever go back to Athens, we would do this again in a heartbeat.
